senior member of the Southern California Yachting Association.

Member owned Club with a current capacity of 250 member families.

Member owned Clubhouse at the Landing on the Lake in Westlake
Village.
- Comprehensive
sailing, racing and boating programs for adults and children.
- Dynamic
Junior training and activities programs.
- Reciprocity
with other Yacht Clubs.
Social
Activities
The
Clubhouse and Bar are open to members and guests on Friday evenings,
on Sunday afternoons during the scheduled regattas, and for other
parties, meetings and social events:
- "Happy
Hour" Friday evenings at 6pm: socializing, snacks, and libations.
- Barbecues
each Friday evening June through September.
- Up
to ten Dinner Dances and Theme Parties on Saturday nights.
- The
annual Commodore's Ball
- The
annual Installation Dinner Dance.
- Fleet
Activities - dinners, films, meetings and parties.
- Junior
Yacht Club - sailing, meetings, parties, and racing at other clubs.
- The
membership is always considering other activities such as dancing
lessons,disco dancing, card playing groups, etc.
Yachting
and Boat Activities
Many
of our activities center around water recreation, but it is not required
that members be sailors or own boats:

Up
to 20 U.S. Sailing sanctioned Regattas held at the Lake annually
- usually Sundays.

Two
of our members won the only U.S. Gold Medal in sailing at the
1988 Olympics.

Members
have won over a 100 National Sailing Championships since 1968.

Safety
Sailing Seminars for beginning and advanced sailors from eight
to eighty.

Open
sailing for juniors and adults on Friday afternoons.

Predicted
log races for electric boats (predict a time and try to match
it.

The
famous "Round The Island" July 4th sail boat race.

Decorated
Parade of Lights during the Christmas holidays.

Club
organized cruises on the major Cruise Lines throughout the world.

Fleet
activities with special interest member groups .
